Grande Esfinge de\u00a0 T\u00e2nis Zod\u00edaco no Mus\u00e9e du Louvre ( Sala 338, Ala Sully, N\u00edvel -1) | Cl\u00e1udia Barros<\/span><\/p>

Origin\u00e1ria do Templo de Am\u00f3n-Ra, em Tanis (capital durante a XXI e a XXII Dinastia), faz parte da cole\u00e7\u00e3o do Louvre desde 1826 depois de ter sido comprada a Henry Salt – egipt\u00f3logo e c\u00f4nsul brit\u00e2nico.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Esculpida em granito rosa, \u00e9 uma pe\u00e7a maci\u00e7a de 12 toneladas com cerca de 1.83m de altura, 4.80m de comprimento e 1.54m de largura. Esculpida a partir de um \u00fanico bloco n\u00e3o nos deixa ficar indiferentes \u00e0 sua impon\u00eancia, uma verdadeira guardi\u00e3.<\/span><\/p>

Ergue-se majestosamente na entrada da cripta do Louvre com corpo de le\u00e3o e cabe\u00e7a humana, demonstrando o poder divino concedido pelos deuses ao fara\u00f3. A cabe\u00e7a est\u00e1 coberta com o nemes\u00a0<\/em><\/a>real, encimado por um\u00a0ureus <\/em>em forma de serpente – s\u00edmbolo do poder do soberano do Alto e Baixo Egipto. No queixo porta uma barba posti\u00e7a, tamb\u00e9m ela s\u00edmbolo da divindade exclusiva do rei.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

As patas colossais e a coloca\u00e7\u00e3o do seu corpo evidenciam um movimento de ataque ao inimigo, refletindo o seu papel protetor contra tudo o que seja nefasto \u00e0 exist\u00eancia humana. Estaria instalada na entrada de lugares sagrados para impedir que as for\u00e7as do mal incomodassem o equil\u00edbrio universal.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

O cartucho no peito est\u00e1 rasurado, o que nos impede de lhe atribuir um personagem. Inicialmente associou-se a pe\u00e7a Amenemhat II; contudo, considera-se que seja ainda mais antiga, possivelmente de 2600 a.C. (Imp\u00e9rio Antigo). Foi reutilizada v\u00e1rias vezes por fara\u00f3s de distintas dinastias:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

-Amenemhat II (1932-1964 a.C.), XII Dinastia (Imp\u00e9rio M\u00e9dio);<\/span><\/p>

-Apofis (1585-1545 a.C.), XV Dinastia (II Per\u00edodo Interm\u00e9dio);<\/p>

-Merneptah (1212-1201 a.C), XIX Dinastia, filho de Rams\u00e9s II (Imp\u00e9rio Novo);<\/span><\/p>

-Sheshon I (948-927 a.C.), XXII Dinastia (III Per\u00edodo Interm\u00e9dio).<\/span><\/p>
